Daiwa Outrage Rod
The Daiwa Outrage M.L.T. (Monster Loves Tentacle) is a fishing rod designed specifically for vertical live bait techniques such as Palluccella, Fireball, Vertical Ball, and Zoka, created to combine the sensitivity and handling typical of slow jigging with the structural power reserve of big game tackle to fight large bottom predators such as amberjack, grouper, and sea bass in the 10–20 kg range. The 1.98-metre one-piece carbon blank made from HVF (High Volume Fiber) with a low resin content features a highly progressive action that combines an ultra-sensitive tip, capable of detecting every touch or movement of the bait, with a responsive backbone designed to stop fish from escaping into obstacles. The stability of the blank under extreme loads and with heavy weights is ensured by the combined action of X45 anti-torsion technology and the Braided X cross-carbon reinforcement at the butt. The series includes three different baitcasting powers sized with dedicated reel seats — the No.4 (up to 200 g with AIRSENSOR Reel Seat, ideal for compact round reels or small electric reels with a JOG lever such as the Leobritz 200J), the versatile No.5 (up to 300 g in the 15 kg class with a Fuji plate) and the powerful No.6 (up to 400 g with Fuji Palming Support for large Dendoh electric reels such as the Seaborg and Tanacom 500J) —, as well as a spinning version with a casting weight of up to 250 g for fixed-spool use. The premium build includes a sturdy, high-grip EVA handle and a taper of Fuji Alconite guides with a K-profile to prevent line tangles and a Fuji SiC tip, creating a durable, smooth rod capable of maintaining full control of the action even at great depths and in strong currents.
