This is a stainless steel bar approximately 36 inches (~91 cm) long, built to withstand marine corrosion and the stresses of offshore fishing. The main function of a spreader bar is to spread and distribute multiple lures or squids across different lines/leaders, creating the appearance of a moving school of prey and thus increasing appeal to pelagic predators such as tuna, amberjack, and mahi-mahi.
