Shimano Caius 151HG

The Shimano Caius is the ideal entry-level reel for anyone looking to get into baitcasting. This versatile model, offering excellent value for money, stands out for its exceptional ease of use and is perfect for casting lures weighing between 10 and 60 grams.

Suitable for catching all predators – from small perch to large pike – the Caius allows anglers of all levels to experience the reliability of Shimano technology at an affordable price. Whether you are new to the technique or an experienced angler looking for a reliable and affordable second reel, this model is sure to deliver.

The Caius combines the smoothness needed to handle light lures with perfect control over the most powerful predators, enhancing both your performance on the water and your enjoyment. The body is made of XT-7, a lightweight composite developed by Shimano that withstands impacts and strain without weighing down your gear. The spool, equally lightweight, is made from the same high-quality aluminum found on higher-end Shimano models.

To make things easier for beginners, the proven 6-pin VBS braking system has been further improved to prevent annoying line tangles (so-called "birds' nests") and optimize casting.

Owning a Shimano reel has always been a source of pride: no wonder many of the world's best anglers started their journey with a Caius. If you are looking for a versatile, robust, and affordable piece of gear, this reel is the perfect choice for your equipment.
