Based on feedback from dozens of anglers, we have fine-tuned this model for superb performance in very specific conditions. The Tide-Minnow Advance Line's excellent specific performance comes at a slight cost to some other performance characteristics.

The Flyer 140 is a sinking model created based on the Tide-Minnow Slim 140 with a particular focus on its casting capabilities. By adapting the action response of the sophisticated original model, we have created a top-quality lure. Not only does the extraordinary casting ability give the angler an advantage in strong winds and the ability to explore hard-to-reach areas, but it is also an excellent entry-level model for beginners who are learning to cast.

Technical details

Modification 1: Weight shift

We changed the moving weight from steel balls to high-density tungsten balls. With the weight increase, we found that the modified model has 20% greater carry during casting than the original model. The angler will be able to notice a big difference when casting into the wind.

Modification 2: The lip

With the weight increase, the lip was redesigned to avoid a substantial change in action response.

Modification 3: Action

In addition to the original model's characteristic rolling action, the modified version features an additional "wobbling" action. Furthermore, the wider lip catches more water, causing the lure to swim with a decidedly erratic action.
